Episode is about Young Suraj going back to school, exploring the joys of school. Though there is always opposite side where we Suraj going to the tough times of elementary school for most kids who may have looked a little different like Suraj. From dealing with tons of issues, Young Suraj overcomes them all, as Older Suraj relates his time with his own kids school problems; to find a solution for his kids. 

Episode is about imaginative and dangerous stunts Young Suraj performed to keep himself engaged. Trying to avoid detection from his parents finding out what he was up to, because he would in trouble them too. As 90s kids, Young Suraj lived within and outside the realm of imagination, that create scenarios for him and his friends to explore; inspiring are such things like Bollywood movies, cartoons & much more. Life on the edge, in his own imagination.

Hustle, make things work and imagination was a huge part of 90s childhoods. For Halloween, it was like being a part of theatre group but everyone was responsible for their own costumes and creation. As Young Suraj and Riya always banter and fight with each other, but in this case for Halloween, it was team effort. Parents not wanting to buy expensive one use costumes, Suraj would go around the neighborhood and gather elements to create their own costumes. The sheer pleasure of walking home at the end of night with pillowcase filled with candy was a success. Happy Halloween thru the eyes of Brown Kid. 

Episode is about Hindu religious joyous event called "Diwali". Old Suraj is sitting around to tell the kids the true meaning of Diwali, and not just about getting gifts. In a retro cartoonish way, the true meaning of Diwali is expressed by Old Suraj and then as then remembers about his younger childhood days and how simplified Diwali was when he was growing up.

Episode is about the painful and pleasant process when you got his first glasses, then 2nd...3rd...4th... so on. Beginning with the eye exam, process of picking the right pair of glasses and all of the struggles of having to wear glasses. Welcome back, bullying! Sadly Suraj enjoyed playing sports, but needed the glasses to see to play so there moments of despair as he breaks a couple pairs of glasses and also trying to put them together as much as he could.
